Product Description:
Step back into 1983 with this striking, heavy-set vintage hinged bangle by
legendary British jeweller Fred Manshaw Ltd. Expertly crafted in solid sterling
silver, this statement piece features an incredibly thick, high-purity 22ct
gold plating.
The entire outer surface is adorned with hundreds
of miniature, regimental flat pyramids—often referred to as a diamond-cut
hobnail or stud pattern. Highly reflective of the early 1980s New Wave and
Punk-adjacent luxury trends, these precise geometric facets bounce light at
every angle as it moves on your wrist.
Substantial in the hand at 38.5 grams, the bangle
features a smooth, polished inner rim, a secure integrated slide-lock clasp,
and only remnants of a classic safety
chain. Fully hallmarked on both sides of the interior with the prestigious London Assay
Office "Leopard's Head," the sterling silver purity marks, Fred
Manshaw’s signature "J M in a Quartered Heart" maker's mark, and the
uppercase italic "I" designating the exact year of 1983.
Condition Report: Excellent vintage
condition with a secure, snappy clasp. Features beautiful, minimal authentic
age-related wear to the 22ct gold plating, but missing a full safety chain..
